Really like St Michaels, easy town to use electric bikes in. Today we are exploring, found a walking/bike trail with a covered bridge, lots of flowering trees here in Maryland. One is the Crap Myrtle they line the paths and streets with their beautiful blooms. Found the Carpenter street saloon for lunch, built in 1887. I am eating and drinking way to much 😬. Went to find The Inn at Parry Cabin where we will have dinner tonight.
What a cool place, very similar to Tides Inn. It has a huge lawn overlooking the bay with white Adirondack chairs sitting all around the lawn. Very relaxing place to enjoy the scenery and maybe take a boat ride on there boats for hire here in the marina. One was a very wide beamed. well kept, beautiful sailboat. Taking a different way back to the boat, walked a dock going around the river here, we went by Fox’s bar and grill, very lively for 2pm. Took bikes back and walked back over for a beer as we are hot and Thirsty. When we were leaving we spotted Hattie sitting at a table so went over and talked to her. Back to the boat, we played pegs and jokers. Captain beat me again, seems like I can’t win at any game with him. I’m on a losing streak, maybe it’ll change when Kerri gets here. Back to the boat to get ready for dinner of course eating again. This please was listed in WaterwayGuide as 208 Talbot, but now is Plates 208. I was quite disappointing because what was on the menu was rack of lamb and I was looking forward to that. They did have a good substitute of lamb shank. It was excellent. Well there a very nice looking gentleman came in that dates the girl that owns the restaurant. He proceeded to go behind the bar and pour us a shot of Massaya, a liquor from Lebanon with Aniseed in it. Tasted very licorice. His name is Amon and he owns Blu Miles the restaurant here at the marina. When we got back to the marina, he was here at his bar so we had a glass of red wine with him. This was a big day, so I’m off to bed but first I have to watch three episodes of Suits.
